Rhea Coelho is a fresh faced 17-year-old model who worked with us on our debut shoot. She herself dreams of becoming a fashion designer but is currently pursuing her Bachelor’s degree in Mass Media while she freelances on the side. She also loves to sketch and sing!

Tell us about yourself, what are your interests and things that make you happy?

I’m a very creative person who finds fulfilment in music, art and films. When I’m not studying or modeling I find myself watching old Audrey Hepburn movies!

How did you get into the industry you work in?

It was actually quite random. I knew that I wanted to work in this space because as a child, I used to act and really enjoyed it. About a year ago, a friend and I were at a coffee shop and that’s where I was scouted! I began modelling right after my final exams in grade 12.

Where do you find inspiration?

I find inspiration in women I admire. I think it’s important for women to be able to support themselves and have their own income and skill sets - something Reistor is active working on. In terms of public icons, I admire women like Princess Diana, Audrey Hepburn and my mom! I aspire to be as classy, gentle and kind as them.

What does sustainability mean to you and how do you bring it into your life?

Sustainability means taking care of the planet that takes care of you. I believe that change can’t happen overnight so I’ve committed to making small but significant changes in my life. For example, I’ve stopped buying or using plastic bottles and have even persuaded my family to start buying groceries from a zero-waste store. Baby steps!

What does Reistor represent to you?

To me Reistor represents conscious consumption. The pieces work for everyone, regardless of body shape, skin colour or age. I love the way the brand makes me feel.

One last thing…

Where do you feel most comfortable?

When I’m singing with my best friend.
